Sobriety Helps a Man Get Felony DUI Charges Reduced to a Misdemeanor
Mar 20, 2018 by Criminal Defense, DUI inExperienced California DUI attorney Michael McKneely knows the long-lasting effects a DUI conviction can have on a client’s life. Recently, attorney McKneely helped a client who had plead guilty to a felony DUI that caused injury to his motorcycle passenger in 1991. Attorney McKneely interviewed the client, and substatntiated his successful longterm recovery from alcohol and petitioned to get the case reduced to a misdemeanor because of the client’s sobriety and law-abiding nature. The petition was granted, the crime reduced to a misdemeanor, and then the misdemeanor offense was stricken from the client’s record.
The outcome of an individual case depends on a variety of factors unique to that case. Case results do not guarantee or predict a similar result in any similar or future case.
